Instead of shying away from the brave colour palettes in preparation for the autumn/winter, Carolina Herrera’s bold collection debuted during New York Fashion Week, embraced them, screaming excitement. The collection was clearly intended for high spirits as it displayed striking tones of blood orange and bedazzling blues.
Onlookers experienced vivacious prints laid on dainty fabrics – something usually more fitting for spring/summer, but it worked wonderfully. Herrera’s polished mid-length designs, possessed pure elegance and total chic.
Something that I adore about this collection is the celebration of femininity. Carolina Herrera’s idea of ‘classic beauty’ is clearly evident with her flattering frocks and exquisite accessories.
Make-up was simplistic and the hair was pulled off the models’ faces, styled in a top-knot bun in order to expose the wonderful bone structure that was on show.
